2025: A new workshops season!

I know many of you have asked about when we would organise more workshops… It’s been a long wait 🥲 but we’re back…next Saturday 18th of January 🎊!!

This first workshop of 2025 is quite special and close to my heart for many reasons. One of them is that it’ll take place in my new studio 🫢 a shared working space in Hackney Wick! It’s s big step, to finally get my work stuff out of the flat, exciting and scary at the same time. So please come to this workshop for a studio warming “party” – it’s not a party but the energy will run high!

I will run this workshop with a special guest: Silvia Acién, artistic director of Acien, a pioneering regenerative fashion brand. This a unique opportunity to listen first hand what it means to be a regenerative designer in today’s fashion and environmental landscape. A true privilege to meet Silvia in person in an interactive space with the opportunity of 1:1 mentoring too!

We will of course crocheting during the workshop and make together the Whizzy scrunchie, a cute and sustainable hair accessory from Acien’s Revival collection. We will provide you with the pattern, crochet hook, elastic band and 50g of yarn from Wovenbeyond’s range, enough yarn to make two scrunchies! We’re aiming for you to complete one during the workshop and you will be able to choose the colours combination that you prefer.

The Whizzy scrunchie pattern is a great project to get familiar with stitches increases and build the skills for your next crochet project, like the hyperbolic Coral scrunchie.

This workshop is ideal for all skill levels, whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or if you’ve never held a crochet hook before…we got you!

REVIVAL COLLECTION WALKTHROUGH!

As part of the event you’ll be able to see and try the newly launched Revival collection by Acien, made with Wovenbeyond yarns. This collaboration has been a labour of love and our statement to a more regenerative future! Our work definitely feels much more like advocacy and activism, right now. We’re rowing against giants in the industry that are not caring about people and planet as much as they should. Beauty in fashion and craft can thrive with nature, and we’re a living proof that things CAN be done differently.

Join us this Saturday and help us spread the message!

We have released very few tickets on Eventbrite for two time slots: one at 10:00am and one at 2:30pm, both 2.5h duration – so don’t wait to secure your space!!

Can’t wait to see and welcome you all!! 💜
