Dear readers,
a few days ago, I decided to share on Instagram an extract from Tom Bryan’s podcast where he’s interviewing Anna Jackson, a British regenerative farmer. When the clip was first shared last year by Tom, it reached 1.7M views! My work and my name are mentioned in the clip and I was astonished to see my followers going up from 1K to 9K in a matter of two weeks or so. As I shared the clip again last week, nearly a year after, I’m seeing another surge of followers, a huge number of comments and shares. It makes me happy (and a tad overwhelmed 😂) to see how passionate people are about wool and the challenges that this industry faces.

Anna Jackson is a rockstar, and I’m lucky that our paths crossed a few years ago when we were both scratching our heads trying to find a way to add value to the amazing fibre that is British wool. She introduced me to the principles of regenerative agriculture and from that moment I was hooked. It all made so much sense that I naturally started advocating for regenerative farming and spent a lot of time connecting with other farmers like Anna. I needed to understand their vision for their farms’ future and frustrations surrounding the wool market.

What I’m committing to do after seeing once again the audience’s reaction to Anna’s interview, is to try and answer the questions posed in the comments. So many great points were raised that I think it’s time to start addressing them properly and learn from each other as we embarque this beautiful journey in the world of fibres production and the connection between fashion and farming.
Before I go, I’d like to invite you to watch the full interview here, if you haven’t already done it.
Wishing you a lovely weekend and will chat to you very soon!
Love,
Gloria
