There’s something incredibly special about seeing Wovenbeyond yarns transformed through another maker’s hands, especially when the values behind the work align so deeply.
Today, I’m very happy to introduce Réka MacDonald, designer and maker behind MÖTTII, and her beautiful handmade knitwear created using our Allo yarn.
Réka creates bespoke garments inspired by her Hungarian roots and the many cultures she encountered while living around the world. Blending knitting, crochet, and sewing, she crafts thoughtful, long-lasting pieces using consciously sourced materials and traditional techniques.
As Réka shared with me:

What makes this collaboration feel especially meaningful is our shared commitment to natural fibres with traceable origins and materials designed with care, both for people and planet.
Allo is one of those yarns that often surprises people.
Its composition, 70% Himalayan nettle fibre and 30% French Merino d’Arles wool, creates a yarn that feels both light and warm at the same time.
The Himalayan nettle brings a silky feel, breathability, and a beautiful natural texture, while the merino wool adds bounciness and warmth. Together, they create a fibre blend with excellent thermoregulation properties, helping the body stay comfortable across changing temperatures.
The yarn is dyed using GOTS-certified dyes and contains no synthetic fibres – just natural materials thoughtfully combined to create something durable, luxurious, and biodegradable.
Seeing Réka transform Allo into this joyful, luminous yellow knit feels like such a beautiful reminder of why Wovenbeyond exists in the first place – to reconnect craft, material, and meaning.
